Records Tumble In October
13 new records and top-5 results were added to the league record book in October.
Lokomotiv-Kuban guard Malcolm Delaney had the unfortunate distinction of being only the second player to get blocked 5 times in a game.
Meanwhile, several team records were set in the October 12 matchup between Khimki and expansion team Vita. Khimki won big, dishing out 38 assists, while converting 19 3-pointers. Moscow Region finished the game with 117 points, second most in league history.
Nizhny Novgorod contributed two stats in a loss to Avtodor. The Russian club attempted 46 3-point field goals, 8 more than the previous record. They connected on 18, 2nd behind Khimki's new record of 19.
Against Vita in Tbilisi, Krasny Oktyabr picked up a convincing 110-67 win, recording several top-5 stats in the process: 57 team rebounds (2nd), 83 field-goal attempts (3rd) and 43 field goals (3rd).
Lokomotiv-Kuban Krasnodar put on a block party against Astana, swatting 11 shots, 2nd best in league history.
Nizhny Novgorod secured a memorable win over CSKA on October 25, despite 35 made free throws by the Army Men (3rd).
