Vojtech Hruban Named League's Top Czech Player

Nymburk forward Vojtech Hruban has been named the VTB United League's top Czech player in 2015-16.

This is the 4th year that the VTB United League has honored the top players in each country represented by League clubs. In the seven countries with one club (Latvia, Estonia, Belarus, Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, Finland and Georgia), the league awards the prize. In Russia, which has nine clubs, information agency TASS partners with the league to name the top Russian player.

This is the 2nd year that Vojtech Hruban has received the honor (also in 2013-14). Nymburk forward Jiri Welsch picked up the award last season, while Petr Benda won the inaugural award in 2012-13.

Hruban played 29 games for Nymburk, averaging 20.2 minutes, 9.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists and an efficiency rating of 9.7.

This is a big honor for me, - Hruban told VTB-League.com. - This is the 2nd time I have received the award, but it is just as important to me. Nymburk had a great season.
