Valery Glinchak Wins Fan Contest Grand Prize!

Valery Glinchak of Shostka (Ukraine) has won the grand prize in the final competition between the top finishers in the Prediction Contest and LUKOIL Fantasy League. Sponsored by the league and Asteros, the final round was held today in Moscow on the USH CSKA court during halftime of Game 1 of the playoff finals.

More than 3,000 fans from over 10 countries took part in the league-organized Prediction Contest and LUKOIL Fantasy League. The top five contestants in the Prediction Contest and top three Fantasy League contestants were invited to the 2016 VTB United League playoff finals: Antonio Menoni (Parma, Italy), Alexander Konovalov (Rechitsa, Belarus), Alexander Istomin (Moscow, Russia), Alexander Mikhailov (Moscow, Russia), Valery Glinchak (Shostka, Ukraine), Sergei Glinchak (Shostka, Ukraine) and Vaida Judelite (Svedasai, Lithuania).

The competition was ultimately decided on the court with the fans competing in a shooting contest (free-throw line, 3-point line and halfcourt).

Many came close, but Valery Glinchak's halfcourt basket sent the crowd into a frenzy and gave him the grand prize, a new generation Samsung Galaxy Tab! No one went home empty-handed, either. Asteros provided each of the remaining seven finalists with Jawbone UP fitness bracelets.
