Taylor Rochestie: November MVP

Rochestie averaged 17.7 points, 2.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists

Nizhny Novgorod (Russia) guard Taylor Rochestie has been named the VTB United League November MVP.

Several factors go into deciding the MVP award: expert opinion from the league and Sport-Express newspaper, the players’ efficiency rating, as well as fan voting on the league website.

Both Rochestie and Krasny Oktyabr guard Randy Culpepper earned 8 points in the November MVP rankings, but the Nizhny guard won the tiebreaker thanks to placing higher in the VTB United League and Sport-Express rankings. Finishing 3rd was Avtodor guard Courtney Fortson (5 points).

Nizhny Novgorod currently leads the VTB United League with an 8-0 record. The Volga club won three games in November, knocking off Astana, UNICS and Lokomotiv-Kuban.

Rochestie played a big role, putting up 17.7 points, 2.3 rebounds, 5.3 assists and an efficiency rating of 20.8 per game. He had his best game against UNICS, recording 22 points, five assists, three rebounds and an efficiency rating of 27.

Joining Rochestie in the VTB United League's All-November squad, as selected by league and Sport-Express experts, are Nizhny Novgorod center Artsiom Parakhouski, CSKA forward Andrey Vorontsevich, Khimki forward Sergey Monia and Krasny Oktyabr guard Randy Culpepper.
