The Russian national team guard came up huge in the showdown with Khimki. He ran the offense and sparked fast breaks, scoring whenever necessary. Nizhny ultimately pulled off the upset, beating one of the league's top contenders at home, while Khvostov earned Week 22 MVP honors.

Khvostov finished with 20 points (62% field-goal shooting, including 4-9 from downtown) and 10 assists, to go with a 22 efficiency rating!
