Meeting between VTB United League and Euroleague officiating departments

VTB United League Head of referees department Algimantas Pavilonis met this week with newly appointment Euroleague Director of Refereeing, Richard Stokes.

At the meeting they reviewed the officiating in the competitions during the previous season, and discussed ways of improving the communication between the organisations as well as matters of future cooperation between the VTB United League and the Euroleague.

«Right after the Euroleague appointed the new Director of Refereeing, we immediately started to work some of the current issues: the problems of officiating and its organisation. During the meeting of both departments we discussed the most important issues that deal with the previous as well as with an upcoming season and now I am sure that the cooperation between the two leagues will become more productive and as a result more beneficial in the use of Europe’s top officials to the games of the VTB United League» , - mentioned Algimantas Pavilonis.
