Samara To Host VTB United Youth League Final Eight

The 2016 VTB United Youth League Final Eight will be held in Samara from April 26-28.

The top eight teams from the regular season take part in the tournament. The quarterfinal games are scheduled for April 26, with the semifinals and consolations games on April 27, and the championship and various runner-up games to be played on April 28.

I hope that holding the Final Eight will help encourage the rebirth of a high-level team and corresponding infrastructure in the Samara region. Especially since Samara is developing a solid foundation of talent, as this season of the VTB United Youth League has demonstrated. Samara-SGEU is in 1st place in the league and one of the top favorites for the title.
