Resurgent Nymburk Wins Big In Tallinn

Nymburk defeated Kalev on the road, 99-70. The visitors led early, pushing the advantage to double digits in the 2nd quarter. A big 3rd quarter put the game out of reach for Kalev as Nymburk secured its 10th win of the season, surpassing last season's total with 14 games left to play.

Recap
This contest had major implications for both teams. Kalev was playing without center Josh Boone for the first time, who recently signed with Khimki, while Nymburk needed to prove it could be successful on the road.

Kalev struggled in the paint without Boone. Newcomer Mario Delas didn't get many touches in the first half as the home team looked to attack from outside. Struggling to find balance, Tallinn fell behind by double digits in the 2nd quarter and trailed 44-31 at halftime.

Coming out of the break, Nymburk upped the tempo of the game, blitzing Kalev for 37 points in the 3rd quarter to take complete control of the game. Ronen Ginzburg's men cruised in the final period, finishing a point shy of 100, while catching Lokomotiv-Kuban and Avtodor for 5th in the standings.

Star Player
Jiri Welsch. The Czech captain played his best game of the season, finishing with 14 points (6-6 from the field), five rebounds and two assists in only 18 minutes on the court.

Stat of the Game
11 - Nymburk played 11 men at least 11 minutes or more. Ronen Ginzburg is clearly not afraid to mix up the rotation.
