Krasny Oktyabr to host Nymburk at Alianz-Basket

The VTB United League Directorate has ruled on where the November 14 game between Krasny Oktyabr and Nymburk will be held.

On November 7, 2015, the VTB United League received letters from BC Krasny Oktyabr as well as Volgograd Oblast Deputy Governor V.I. Galushkin. In the letter from BC Krasny Oktyabr, the club reported that talks are ongoing with the owner of the Volgograd Trade Union Sports Palace regarding making the court available to rent. Due to suspension of heating and electricity services, the condition of the Volgograd Trade Union Sports Palace's communication and engineering framework is uncertain, as well as the functionality of the fire extinguisher system. Once an agreement is reached, the club will do everything it can to bring the arena up to VTB United League standards. As a result, the club requests that the Alianz-Basket arena, the seating capacity of which has already been increased to 1,200, be approved as a reserve arena and permitted to host home games until the exact condition of the Volgograd Trade Union Sports Palace can be determined.

In his letter, Volgograd Oblast Deputy Governor V.I. Galushkin informed the league that the Sports Complex for BC Krasny Oktyabr is currently under construction on the territory of the Krasny Oktyabr metallurgical factory with the facility expected to be completed at the beginning of 2016. The club has been in talks to host home games at the Volgograd Trade Union Sports Palace since July 2015, but an agreement between the two parties has not been reached yet. BC Krasny Oktyabr has done a lot of work to promote basketball and sports participation in the region. Attendance at Krasny Oktyabr home games has been among the best in the VTB United League over the past two seasons. Given the problems faced by the club, the Administration of Volgograd Oblast solicits that the Directorate consider BC Krasny Oktyabr's request to hold the November 14, 2015 game against Nymburk at the Alianz-Basket arena.

Given that additional time is needed to decide whether BC Krasny Oktyabr will be able to play at the Volgograd Trade Union Sports Palace, and that BC Nymburk's home arena is already occupied on November 14, 2015, the VTB United League Directorate has ruled:

- to accept the Alianz-Basket arena as BC Krasny Oktyabr's reserve arena.
- to permit BC Krasny Oktyabr to hold the Krasny Oktyabr - Nymburk game on November 14, 2015 at its reserve arena - Alianz-Basket.

This decision takes effect on November 9, 2015.
