Khimki Cruises Vs. Nymburk

Khimki defeated Nymburk at home on Sunday evening, 123-71. Moscow Region put together a 19-0 run midway through the first half to seize control of the game. Nymburk's offense came around in the second half, but the visitors could do nothing to stop the home team, giving up 63 points after the break to lose by 52.

Khimki entered with a five-game winning streak, only a few days removed from a dramatic Euroleague win vs. CSKA. Nymburk, on the other hand, had only one win against a top-8 team (Lokomotiv-Kuban) and lost to CSKA by 20 in its most recent league outing.

Led by Vojtech Hruban, the Czechs came out strong, leading Khimki 20-18 late in the 1st quarter. That's when the Russian club caught fire, scoring 19 straight over the next four minutes, including 11 from Zoran Dragic. Entering halftime, Moscow Region enjoyed a nearly insurmountable 60-29 advantage.

Moscow Region picked up where it left off in the second half, scoring more than 30 points in both the 3rd and 4th quarters to secure a dominant 52-point win at home.

Star Player
Zoran Dragic. The Slovenian was among Khimki's best in this game (19 points, 7-9 from the field, three rebounds, four assists and five steals) and sparked the 19-0 run in the first half.
