Caipirinha was not enough for everybody

The second season of VTB League is completed. Medals and prizes are given away, game with fans ended in a draw, Caipirinha at «Cuba Libre» bar is over. 

 I'll start with the most interesting topic – there were four cheerleading teams at the tournament. But the girls from CSKA did not come to the playground and were sitting in the stands, chanted from time to time: «Our girls are better than yours, hey, hey!»

There are a lot of girls in Polish cheerleading team. I remembered the story of Barney from famous TV show about «cheerleaders’ effect». Check out this link

During their second or third dance in the first game day they put on the neck of my colleagues who were sitting at the first row the Hawaiian garlands. My colleagues liked that and continued to write about them only positive things.

Kazan cheerleaders came out to the playground not so often, and that’s why there was nothing supernatural about them. Well, the girls from «Khimki» danced greatly, not only on the dance floor of «Basket-hall» but also in the local disco clubs.
 We have been preparing very seriously to the match between journalists and fans. An hour after arrival to the capital of Tatarstan in the Irish pub I was given a game shirt and the title of the captain of our team.

An hour before the match our team came in a full strength to the playground. On the background of three or four nearly two-meter opponents in CSKA’s shirts our team looked very disciplined. However, what is a real organization, we realized about half an hour later, when the small arena was filled to the full! Wrestlers in bright play-suits publicly welcomed every our score. Honestly it was nice 
 

Special thanks to head coach of journalists Anatoly Myshkin. He shared with Michael Davydov title of the primary star of the duel. The president of VTB United League Sergey Ivanov who was sitting directly behind our bench derived pleasure from it.

The game itself was very tense. And I am very pleased that two minutes before the end we were able to score 7 points. The match ended in a draw. Organizers decided no to play an extra five-minute. Probably that was correct.

Well, the grand basketball ended with celebration in «Cuba Libre» bar. And as it always happens there was not enough Caipirinha. Wonderful drink was not enough for everybody... Maybe we will be lucky in the next season of the League ...?
