Kalev Wins Estonian Championship
The VTB United League's Kalev has been crowned Estonian champion! The Tallinn squad defeated reigning champion and archrival Tartu-Rock in the playoff finals, 4-1.
Kalev won the first two games at home, 97-81 and 71-69, before dropping Game 3 on the road, 75-68. But two more victories in Games 4 and 5 (77-62 and 81-54) gave Kalev the title.
Alar Varrak's men become Estonian champions for the 8th time in club history.
Kalev forward Rolands Freimanis was named playoff MVP.
