RBF and VTB United League Sign New Agreement

The Russian basketball Federation and the VTB United League signed a new three-year agreement, according to which Russian Basketball Championship is to be organised by the VTB United League. The previous agreement dated 2013 was void.

RBF’s president Andrey Kirilenko said the following after putting his signature on the document: “We are happy to sign the new agreement. The communication between the Federation and the United League is vital as Russia’s top teams and players are represented in the competition. We are in a close contact with the League’s administration and will together continue to promote professional basketball in Russia”.

“The new three-year agreement with RBF that delegates the rights to Russian Championship is important to both the United League and all of professional basketball across the country. A reliable league with clear format, rules and regulations and with the ability to plan years ahead is needed by the clubs, sponsors, TV Partners and, most importantly,  by the fans. I really want to thank all, who took part in making this happen”, added VTB United League’s CEO Andrey Shirokov.
