Big Numbers On Offense In November
Eight new stats were added to the league record books in November.
It looked like Alexey Shved would be the hero in the November 2 showdown between Nizhny Novgorod and Khimki. The Russian guard made 7 3-pointers, tying for 2nd-most in league history. But Kaspars Berzin's shot in the final minute gave Nizhny the upset win.
The Astana - Tsmoki-Minsk shootout on November 14 featured four new stats. Astana guard Kenneth Hayes played the entire game, including overtime, for the 2nd-most minutes in a game (45). Astana also took 84 shots from the field (3rd most).
Tsmoki-Minsk was led by Anthony Hilliard, who helped the visitors pull out a win in overtime. The American scored 37 points, knocking down 15 field goals, both tied for 3rd-best in league history.
The fans got to watch another high-scoring affair on November 14. Krasny Oktyabr attempted 86 field goals in a win over Nymburk to set a new league record!
Finally, CSKA Moscow scored 119 point against Nymburk on November 22, tying the record set by Avtodor last season, while knocking down 46 field goals (tied for 1st).
