Artsiom Parakhouski named league's Top Belarusian Player

Nizhny Novgorod center Artsiom Parakhouski has been named the VTB United League's Top Belarusian Player in 2014-15.

This is the third year that the VTB United League has honored the top players in each country represented by League clubs. In the six countries with just one club (Latvia, Estonia, Belarus, Czech Republic, Kazakhstan and Finland), the league awards the prize. In Russia, which has 10 clubs, Russian information agency TASS partners with the league to name the top Russian player.

This is the first year that Parakhouski has received the honor from the VTB United League. The award went to UNICS forward Vladimir Veremeenko in the two previous seasons.

Parkhouski played 29 games for Nizhny Novgorod, averaging 25.0 minutes, 14.9 points, 7.7 rebounds, 1.8 blocks and an efficiency rating of 18.5.

- I'm very happy to receive this award, - Artsiom Parakhouski said in an interview with VTB-League.com. - I represent the VTB United League both in Nizhny Novgorod and in my home country. That's a big honor. I think this has been one of the best seasons of my career, but the most important stage, the playoffs, are still ahead.
