Anthony Randolph Wins February MVP
Lokomotiv-Kuban center Anthony Randolph has been named the VTB United League February MVP.
The VTB United League and Sport-Express use the following factors when selecting the MVP: player efficiency rating, expert rankings and the VTB-League.com fan vote.
Randolph finished with 9 points in the ranking, beating out Krasny Oktyabr forward Ekene Ibekwe (6 points) and CSKA guard Nando De Colo (3 points).
Delaney and Lokomotiv-Kuban went a perfect 6-0 in February, notching wins vs. Astana, Avtodor, Bisons, Krasny Oktyabr, Vita and CSKA to climb to 3rd in the standings.
Randolph has only gotten better with each month, establishing himself as one of the league's most versatile two-way players. He averaged 22.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists and a 22.8 efficiency rating in Feburary, helping extend Loko's winning streak to 11, including the recent win vs. CSKA Moscow. Randolph put on a show in that game, knocking down five of six 3-point attempts, including two huge 3's in the final minutes. He finished with 28 points (73% from the field), six rebounds and three assists.
Joining Randolph on the VTB United League All-February team, as selected by VTB United League and Sport-Express experts, are Krasny Oktyabr forward Ekene Ibekwe, Avtodor forward Travis Peterson, UNICS guard Keith Langford and CSKA guard Nando De Colo.
