Krasnodar's trademark defense dominated in the opening minutes. The visitors rolled to an 11-0 start, holding Kalev scoreless for four minutes. The home team, however, got back in the game thanks to 3-point shooting and Josh Boone's interior offense.
Three 3-pointers from Erik Keedus and Rain Veideman to open the 2nd quarter gave Kalev its first lead. By halftime, Tallinn had built a six-point advantage, 47-41, slicing open Krasnodar's defense for 29 points in the period.
