But Kazan started the game on a 10-2 run, led by Kostas Kaimakoglou. The Greek big man scored eight points in the first four minutes.
Despite a quiet first half from leading scorer Keith Langford, UNICS had no trouble scoring, finishing the half with 45 points and a seven-point advantage.
To Nizhny's dismay, the home team was just getting started. Kaimakoglou continued to score, while Langford found his touch, chipping in with 11 points in the 3rd quarter. Kazan won the period by a score of 27-15, surging in front by 19.
The visitors never threatened in the final quarter. UNICS dominated at both ends, holding the visitors to 30 points in the second half. Kazan also had six players in double figures, led by 19 from Quino Colom. Colom hit the shot that gave UNICS 100 points, while Dmitry Nezvankin knocked down a jumper in the final minute to make it 102-68.

Quino Colom. The Spanish guard helped UNICS pull away in the 3rd quarter, dishing out three assists to go with four points. He finished with a game-high 19 points, plus six rebounds and 10 assists.
