Krasny Oktyabr defeated Astana in Volgograd, 106-85. The home team picked up a big lead late in the first half and had little trouble closing out the victory after halftime. Oktyabr finishes 9th in the standings, while Astana ends the season in 15th.

Volgograd is a big basketball city and Oktyabr hoped to rewards its loyal fans with a win at home on the final day of the regular season.

The home team struggled during the first 15 minutes, trailing by as much as four midway through the 2nd quarter. But Oktyabr rallied to finish the half. Viacheslav Zaitcev forced a pair of turnovers, flushing home a pair of fast-break dunks, while Vasily Zavoruev got hot from outside. Thanks to a 25-8 run to close out the 2nd quarter, Volgograd led 56-43 at halftime.

The visitors tried to go inside in the second half, but Alexey Zhukanenko's efforts weren't enough. Astana got as close as eight points midway through the 3rd quarter before Oktyabr went on another run, finishing the game with more than 100 points for the third time this season.
