Pashutin Gets 100th Victory, UNICS Wins 14th Straight
UNICS defeated Vita at home, 81-57. The visitors played UNICS tough in the first half, trailing by three at halftime. Kazan pulled away after the break, cruising to a 24-point victory, the team's 14th-straight in the league. Head coach Evgeny Pashutin also picked up his 100th win in the league.

UNICS expected to extend its winning streak against the league's worst team, but struggled to take control in the first half. Led by Omar Thomas's big night (14 points, seven rebounds, four assists), Tbilisi trailed by just three at halftime, 37-34.
After switching sides, Kazan upped the tempo and got Keith Langford and Kostas Kaimakoglou going on offense. Leading by nine at the end of the 3rd quarter, UNICS erased any doubt in the final period, outscoring the visitors by 15 to win comfortably.
UNICS has now won 14 in a row and Pashutin picks up his 100th win in the league, the second coach to 100 in VTB United League history. Kazan hosts 1st-place CSKA next week and will have an opportunity to knock Moscow from its perch.
