Record Night For Fridzon, CSKA

CSKA defeated Kalev on the road, 105-78. The home team kept it close for two and a half quarters, before the reigning champs pulled away for the win. CSKA has now won 19 straight, breaking the record set by Khimki during the 2013-14 season. Moscow guard Vitaly Fridzon also became the first player in league history to score more than 1,500 points.

Recap
Kalev has played well in February, winning two straight entering the showdown with CSKA. Morris Curry, Shawn King and Mario Delas have been excellent additions in recent weeks and the Estonian club hoped to put up a fight against CSKA, who traveled to Tallinn without point guard Milos Teodosic.

Morris Curry, Rolands Freimanis and Erik Keedus led Kalev to a strong start, combining for the home team's first 34 points to knot the score midway through the 2nd quarter.

Joel Freeland and Cory Higgins did most of the damage for the visitors, who struggled to assert control until Curry picked up his 4th foul late in the first half and had to take a seat on the bench. CSKA immediately took advantage, grabbing an eight-point lead, 48-40, at halftime.

Back-to-back baskets from Viktor Khryapa to start the 2nd half made it a 12-point game. Kalev hung around, pulling within six late in the 3rd quarter, but never truly threatened.

CSKA entered the final period with a 15-point advantage and Nikita Kurbanov erased any lingering doubts, drilling a '3' early in the 4th to make it a 20-point game (81-61).

CSKA closed out the win handily. Pavel Korobkov even made a brief appearance in the 4th quarter, his second game since returning from injury.

Star Player
Nando De Colo. The Frenchman had a big game on both ends of the court, boasting a +/- of 16. He also scored a team-high 17 points to go with five assists.
