Kazan Clobbers Visiting Bisons

UNICS defeated Bisons at home on Saturday, 110-56. Loimaa kept it close in the 1st quarter before getting blown out over the final 30 minutes. Led by Quino Colom's double-double, Kazan stretches its winning streak to 13.

Despite the 8-14 record, Bisons are a dangerous team, boasting wins over Lokomotiv-Kuban and Krasny Oktyabr. But Kazan had every intention of defending its home court and extending the double-digit winning streak.

Bisons pushed the tempo early, outhustling UNICS to pick up a 20-18 lead in the opening period. Trailing by as much as seven, the home team gradually regained control, slowing the tempo and knocking down a series of mid-range jumpers.

The 2nd quarter was all UNICS, led by Quino Colom and Latavious Williams. Kazan doubled up Bisons in the period (34-17) and enjoyed a comfortable 15-point lead at the half.

Keith Langford got going in the 3rd quarter, erupting for 18 points to help UNICS outscore Bisons by a league-record 30 points (36-6) in the period.

UNICS cruised the rest of the way, picking up a dominant 54-point victory.

Star Player
Quino Colom. The Spaniard showed off his versatility, finishing with 11 points, 13 assists, five rebounds and two steals in 23 minutes.

Stat of the Game
1000 - To go along with a game-high 25 points, Langford scored his 1000th point in the VTB United League on Saturday. He starred for Khimki years ago before signing with UNICS last season. He becomes the 15th player in league history to score over 1000.
