The visitors from Tbilisi got some unexpected support at the game: more than 100 children from the Iveria Dance Group showed up to the game and wowed the crowd with several scintillating Georgian dances during halftime.
Despite the emotional boost for Vita, CSKA seized control from the opening tip. The home team limited Vita's opportunities on offense, holding the visitors to 10 points in the opening period. At the other end, CSKA was efficient, scoring 23 points in the 1st quarter and 24 in the 2nd to lead by 20 at halftime, 47-27.
Nando De Colo led the way for the Army Men in the first half, knocking down three 3's to go with three assists and a steal.
Vita's deficit continued to grow in the second half. Victor Khryapa played a season-high 15 minutes for CSKA, collecting 11 points, five rebounds, three assists and three blocks.
