Avtodor Saratov defeated Krasny Oktyabr Volgograd on the road, 102-85. The visitors built a big lead in the 2nd quarter and went on to post a convincing 17-point win. Avtodor finishes with more than 100 points for the second straight game and improves to 7-4.

Volgograd got off to a good start. Dmitry Sokolov, Viacheslav Zaitcev and Maxim Tkachenko all scored to put Oktyabr on top, 9-2. But the visitors quickly responded, taking a 14-11 lead midway through the opening period. Avtodor was deadly from beyond the arc, knocking down its first three 3-point attempts. Kirill Bolshakov's men couldn't match Saratov's firepower, trailing by as much as 12 early in the 2nd quarter.

Krasny Oktyabr cut the deficit to five late in the first half, but could get no closer. Saratov took a nine-point lead into halftime, 48-39, thanks to a pair of three-point plays from Artem Zabelin and Jeremy Chappell.

The visitors continued to pull away in the 3rd quarter, opening the second half on a 12-2 run to make it a 19-point advantage.

The home team hung around, pulling within eight points late in the period. Oktyabr even managed to outscore Avtodor in the 3rd quarter, 23-22, but 32 points from the visitors in the final period sealed the outcome. Krasny Oktyabr drops to 4-7 with the defeat, while Avtodor climbs into 6th in the standings with a 7-4 record.

Travis Peterson. The Avtodor forward did his damage from the perimeter, knocking down five 3's in the second half. His hot shooting ended Volgograd's comeback hopes, giving Saratov an important win.
