Nizhny Novgorod 'D' Overpowers Tallinn

Nizhny Novgorod defeated Kalev on the road, 91-77. The visitors' defense decided the outcome, holding Kalev to 12 points in the 4th quarter, allowing the visitors to pull away for a 14-point win.

Recap
Coming off a win over Khimki, Nizhny Novgorod was favored on the road. Kalev, however, had other plans. Shawn King shut down Nizhny's attempts to pull away, helping the home team to a 47-46 lead at halftime. Despite trailing, the visitors demonstrated impressive balance in the first half.

That balance began to have an impact in the second half. Five different Nizhny players had scored in double digits entering the 4th quarter, giving Ainars Bagatskis multiple options down the stretch.

Kalev, meanwhile, continued to rely almost entirely on King. During the 4th quarter, King and the Tallinn attack finally went cold, allowing Nizhny to secure a double-digit lead and pull out the win.
