«Vita» Tbilisi, Georgia vs. UNICS Kazan, Russia

UNICS defeated Vita in Tbilisi, 104-76. The league newcomers kept it close for three quarters, but Keith Langford was too much in the final period, leading UNICS to a convincing win.

Intro
Vita has yet to win in the league, but has shown considerable improvement from game to game. Sunday's contest vs. high-flying UNICS presented another formidable challenge for Pavel Googe's squad.

The 1st quarter was dominated by UNICS guard Keith Langford and Vita guard Darius Carter. Langford won the shootout, 15-10, helping Kazan take a 26-13 advantage.

Midway through the second period, UNICS led by as much as 21 points. In danger of getting knocked out early, Vita mounted a comeback, cutting the deficit to 11, 46-35, at halftime.

The chase continued in the 3rd quarter. Vita got within four points twice and trailed by just six entering the final period.

Turning Point
The outcome was decided in the first two and a half minutes of the 4th quarter. Keith Langford and Valery Likhodei helped UNICS score 10 unanswered and secure a commanding 16-point advantage. UNICS coasted the rest of the way, ultimately winning by 28.

Star of the Game
Keith Langford. Vita couldn't stop UNICS's star American guard on Sunday. Langford scored 15 points in the opening period and finished with 36 points and nine assists.
