Khimki defeated Krasny Oktyabr at home on Sunday, 97-86. The visitors led at halftime, but couldn't match Khimki's firepower in the second half. Moscow Region improves to 4-1, bouncing back from the loss to CSKA earlier in the week.

Both teams had lost two straight entering Sunday's contest and needed a win to restore confidence. With two of the league's top offenses squaring off, the game promised to be entertaining and high-scoring.
Oktyabr's Jordan Hamilton wasted no time, erupting for 11 points in the opening two minutes to spot Krasny Oktyabr an 11-4 lead.
Trailing by six, 27-21, after 10 minutes, Khimki opened the 2nd quarter on a 22-8 run, capped by Sergey Monia's three-point play at the 3:41 mark.
Oktyabr point guard D.J. Cooper, however, could not be stopped in the final minutes of the half. After four straight free throws cut the deficit to five, three Cooper assists put the visitors on top, 49-48, at halftime.
Leading by four points midway through the 3rd quarter, Krasny Oktyabr gave up an 11-2 run and trailed by five entering the final period. This time, there would be no comeback. The visitors never got closer than three points in the 4th quarter and scored just five points in the final five minutes to lose by 11.

Tyrese Rice. The American guard was brilliant on offense, recording his first double-double of the season: 24 points and 10 rebounds.
