Nymburk Moves To 3-1, Enisey Drops To 1-3

Nymburk defeated Enisey at home, 91-81, on Sunday evening. After a hard-fought game, the Czechs pulled away in the 4th quarter thanks to three-point shooting and up-tempo offense.

Recap
Nymburk had to play without two key contributors, Petr Benda and Jiri Welsch, leaving the team with only 11 men on the roster.

Enisey, on the other hand, signed Russian guard Denis Zakharov earlier in the week and brought a motivated squad to the Czech Republic on Sunday.

Early on, led by Howard Sant-Roos and Chasson Randle, the home team ran its offense through the perimeter and took advantage of fast break opportunities to build a big lead Enisey was also aggressive from outside, but made just one of its first eight attempts and trailed 25-11 after 10 minutes.

Enisey cut the deficit to 10 in the 2nd quarter, holding the home team to 18 points. Riding that momentum, the visitors ripped off a 17-7 run to start the second half, tying the game at 50-50 with 16:30 left to play.

Nursing a slim two-point lead entering the 4th quarter, Nymburk needed a spark and got it from the perimeter, regaining a double-digit advantage. Enisey tried to mount a late comeback, but Nymburk's 3-point shooting was too much, giving the home team a 91-81 victory.

Star of the Game
Howard Sant-Roos. His two 3's to start the game set the tone early. He didn't stop there. Sant-Roos was dangerous on fast breaks, cleaned up the glass, forced turnovers and dished out assists to lead the Czechs to victory.

Stat of the Game
+40. Nymburk's starters outscored Enisey's starters by a huge margin.
