Khimki defeated Bisons in the road Regular Season game – 81:62. The home team stayed in the game until Khimki went on an 18:0 run the middle of the 2nd quarter and ultimately won the game.
The Plot
After a hard-fought win over Avtodor at home (87:84), Khimki packed their bags for Finland for a date with the ambitious Bisons team. Many Finnish fans flocked the arena hoping to see their local hero Pettery Koponen, now one of Khimki’s leaders.
Bisons were determined to put up a fight and started the game with disciplined defense and even went ahead on the scoreboard, forcing Rimas Kurtinaitis to call a time-out. Things changed quickly for Khimki after Aleksey Shved came off the bench in the end of the opening quarter, they went on a 10:0 run which put the ahead.
The game was even until the 6-minute mark in the second, after that the home team couldn’t break the lid on the basket, while Tyrese Rice sparked an 18:0 run, which ended the contest basically.
The visiting team maintained their advantage by going deep into their rotation, all of their players except Ruslan Pateev played double digit minutes. In the end the Russian team got the blow-out road win - 81:62 and became the first team in this year’s League to reach 2-0 record.

Aleksey Shved. Russian guard adjusted his shooting touch as he led both teams in scoring – 20 pts (66.6% FGs, 50% 3FGs), pulling down 8 boards and dishing out 5 dimes.
