It is always nice to get the title of MVP

MVP of 2nd round of a group round of VTB United League, forward of UNICS Maciej Lampe gave an interview to our web-site, in which he shared his impressions of the victorious match in Vilnius against "Lietuvos Rytas", thanked the League for the individual award and told about the forthcoming match with CSKA in Kazan .

- Maciej, congratulations with the title of MVP of the tour! What do you feel?

- To get an individual title - is always nice. Especially, because I got it after victorious match of our team. The game in Vilnius was very important for us, and I am glad that for all that we managed to win "Lietuvos Rytas". During all the forty minutes the leader of the match was changing all the time, and the ending turned out to be very difficult. Fortunately, thanks to good play in defense and to several major attacks, we created the necessary backlog of points during the final minutes. I think, that UNICS showed itself as a real efficient team, and I'm happy that I made my own contribution to our common victory!

- In the next round of VTB United League Kazan club will play with even more serious contender - CSKA ...

- We all know CSKA well, and perfectly understand what this team is able to do. That is why we do not need any additional emotional mood. Preparation for the match goes in a standart mode. And, of course, we will play only for victory!

- And what can you tell about the competition itself- about the current level of the participating teams, the organization of the tournament?

- I played in the first season of VTB United League too, so I can note that the level of the organization has grown significantly. In particular it concerns the work of official web-site of the League, where any player can receive for himself a lot of interesting statistical information. As for the teams, the tournament in this season has gained strength with good teams from the Euroleague and of course the level of basketball and competition, has risen.

- Can UNICS get into the "Final Four" this season?

- I think, yes. To get to the "Final Four" is always prestigious, but at the same time it is not simple. And if you got there it is necessary to be completely concentrated on the game - in such solving games there is no right to make mistakes. In any case, we will make efforts to play in the "Final Four", and to fight there for the champion title.

- Do you know, that MVP in the regular season of VTB United League will get a special prize - the Korean SsangYong Rexton off-road car?

- (Laughs) Yes, certainly. It is a good prize and a successful marketing course which, certainly, will stimulate players on more active actions on the playground!
