Khimki took revenge on Krasnye Krylia

 

The current champion of the League won Krasnye Krylia in Samara - 68:64.

Krasnye Krylia started the match with mini-spurt 4-0 thanks to accurate shots by Lonniel Rush and Aaron Miles and by the middle of the first 10-minute the team increased the advantage- 12:4! As for Khimki, the team could not establish their game even after timeout by Rimas Kurtinaitis, having too many losses. Meanwhile Krasnye Krylia players continued to score in each attack. Especially active was Dragan Labovic: nine points by the 9th minute - and devastating 25:6 in favor of Krasnye Krylia!

But in the second quarter Khimki reminded that their team is the current champion of the League, and Vitaliy Fridzon – MVP of the last year's Final four. Sniper of Khimki played great on both sides of the court scoring accurate free throws.

But Khimki failed to take the lead in the first half. Moreover, shortly after the big break Miles again brought the advantage of the hosts to 10 points - 43:33. But Khimki finally started to score from the distance and two distant shots by Sergey Monya helped the team to take the lead - 52:51 at the end of the third quarter!

In the final quarter Krasnye Krylia again managed to reduce the gap, but Monya accurate three-pointer one and a half minutes before the end led his team ahead - 66:64. Anti-heroes at the end of the match became Miles (loss and turnover) and Rush (two inaccurate three-pointers during the last seconds).

The final score - 64:68 in favor of Khimki, where the most valuable players became Vitaliy Fridzon (20 points 5 steals) and Sergey Monya (14). In Krasnye Krylia - Dragan Labovic made a double-double (15 + 10 rebounds), Fedor Likholitov - 14 points .
